Guess it's been a long time. =^_^=
I got a referral to a gentleman in Long Beach that will do the airbrushing - he gave an estimate of $300 for the job. What really made me happy was getting some pics of his work and that he is reachable in two busses. A picture of one he did for a tequila company can be found here (front) and here (back).
Also, got some help in repairing that bursted seam. Many thanks, Tess. *hugs*
In my possession is one mock-turtleneck white nylon-lycra unitard, and not enough money to have Monika airbrush it for me. =(
The problem I have is that I can't quite bend over right in it - in fact, I bursted one of the seams slightly already. I'll probably have my mom or somebody repair it (take it to a drycleaner? I dunno), or perhaps get in contact with Monika and see if she can do the honors of repair work.
To note, the unitard is a large white turtleneck nylon-lycra unitard, built with a double-thick lycra for opacity. I have it on good authority that it will airbrush properly, so I'm not too concerned.
Next step - contact Monika Livingstone or somebody else and get it airbrushed.
Went to fit the unitard today. A shop out in Fullerton does things custom like.
So an extra large *almost* fits - the arms were a bit baggy, as was the neck and shoulders. And beans, did I have to fight to zip that thing up. Mental note, don't hesitate to ask for help in the future.
Next step is to see if they can modify it so the arms aren't so baggy and the neck likewise. Worst case, I can probably size down one to a large, but we'll see.
Finally got some idea on how I'm going to do this.
First and foremost, went with a sketch as borrowed from Leinir as far as a tiger style Cats costume. Many thanks, Leinir. The sketch is above.
The plan is that I need to get in touch with somebody who can do airbrushing. I have it on good word that Monika Livingstone can do this. Monika, if you're reading this, please email me. =^^=
